In 2011, COS hosted a Women’s Bazaar and social event in London to raise money for our pharmacy project. This was our very first fundraising event. We planned for weeks and got the children from the diaspora involved, who were excited to be a part of the preparation process. The day was filled with music, fashion, traditional dance, and mouth-wateringly flavourful food.
We also used the opportunity to carry out a short presentation on the current situation of children in Sudan, as well as an introductory video on our pharmacy project to give everyone a better understanding of the cause.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we are so grateful to everyone who participated.
